Personality:
Star is a well schooled, but very affectionate horse. She likes to let you know whether she likes you or not. If she doesn't, you are in a deep hole. Sometimes that might be a literal statement! She is a fantastic jumper and is only used to a soft hand and a gentle voice. She is not accustomed to whips or any crop of any kind. A snaffle bit would do well in the show ring. She doesn't like being pushed past her limits on the racetrack. She will not fight for the bit, but will let you know when she is ready to "burn it up". She is fast. A very fast and talented horse. If treated harshly, could turn to biting or kicking. Doesn't mind the loading gate.
History:
Star was foaled and owned by a large jumping facility that used harsh methods and crops on their horses to achieve the "best results". Star was abused and started training way to early. it ruined her. She shied away from everything, trusting no one and nothing. She fought when taken out, bit and kicked when groomed, and was an all around mess. Then Elizabeth showed up. Young and eager, Elizabeth wanted to buy the horse that was "ruined". Star saw something in this person that she hadn't seen in a long time: kindness. She still didn't trust her, but let her come as close as four feet away. She was loaded up into a trailer and taken to Elizabeth's ranch. She grew used to Elizabeth's prescence and got well enough to start training the right way. Elizabeth was patient, though Star was very difficult to deal with at first. Star soon grew to trust Elizabeth and, eventually, other people as well. She is now ready for anything, and may be the next champion of our age!
